Real work for schools across the West Midlands

We are a creative studio that works only in education, and much of our work is close to home. Here is some of it, with where each client is:

  • Bournville School, Birmingham. A series of short social media videos, from a day in the life at each phase to Sports Day, the Year 11 leavers’ assembly and prom.
  • Smith’s Wood Academy, Solihull. A day in the life film for the school’s channels.
  • The Coleshill School, Coleshill, North Warwickshire. An open evening film following an ordinary school day.
  • Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, Sutton Coldfield. A cross-trust maths challenge film.
  • Nulogic, Bournville. Brochures, a prospectus, flyers, photography and a website for an education provider, plus a film about its Bournville centre.

Bournville School and Smith’s Wood Academy are both Fairfax schools, and their students share a prom, which we filmed too.

Why a local studio helps

Being close means we can visit for a planning meeting, film on the day that suits your timetable and come back for a second shoot without long travel days. It also means we know the area, from the local trusts to the weeks in the autumn when schools across the region hold their open evenings.

FAQs

Questions schools ask us

How do you market a school?
Start with what makes your school different and who you want to reach, then show it honestly and consistently: a website families can find their way around, a prospectus worth keeping, regular social media posts from real school life, and a short film for your open evening. Local word of mouth matters too, so make it easy for families to share what you post.
How do you promote your school in the community?
Be visible where local families already are: feeder schools, nurseries, community groups, local Facebook groups and events. Share good news regularly, invite people in for performances and open events, and make sure your website and social media show what an ordinary day is like.
How do you increase pupil numbers or school admissions?
Make it easy for families to see why your school is right for their child, and to visit. Clear information on your website, a short film and prospectus that show real school life, a well-promoted open evening and quick, friendly replies to enquiries all help. Our guide covers this in more detail.
Do you only work with schools in Birmingham?
No. Much of our work is in Birmingham and the West Midlands, but we work with schools, trusts and education providers across the UK, and travel for filming and photography.
