School marketing and prospectus photography

Natural photographs of your pupils, staff and spaces, taken on an ordinary day, for your prospectus, website, social media and signage. This is marketing photography, not pupil portraits.

Photography that helps families choose your school

The photos in your prospectus and on your website are often the first thing families see. They notice straight away whether pictures feel natural or staged, and whether they show the school as it really is. Good school marketing photography captures real lessons, real relationships and the spaces you are proud of, so families can picture their child there.

We photograph schools, multi academy trusts, colleges and education providers for their prospectuses, websites, social media and signage. You can see some of our work above, from a shoot for Nulogic, an education provider that supports young people who need something different from mainstream school.

Not pupil portraits

If you are looking for individual or class photos for parents to order, that is a different job, usually done by a portrait company. We do not take those. Our work is marketing photography: the pictures your school uses to tell families, staff and your community what you are like.

How a shoot day works

Most schools choose a half day or a full day of photography. Before the day, we agree a shot list with you based on what the photos are for, such as the pages of your prospectus or the sections of your website. We then plan where we need to be and when, so we can move between lessons without disturbing them.

On the day, a member of your staff stays with us. We work quietly, photographing lessons and activities as they happen rather than asking pupils to pose for long. We also take relaxed portraits of staff who are happy to be photographed, and pictures of your buildings and grounds in good light.

What you receive

After the shoot we choose the strongest images, correct the colour and light, and deliver them in sizes ready for print and the web. You have full rights to use every image in your prospectus, on your website, on social media and on signage. Because we are a full creative studio, we can also design those pages for you, so the photography and the design are planned together.

Photography in Birmingham and beyond

We photograph schools across Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands, and travel further for larger projects. Wherever you are, you get the same careful approach: consent checked before the first photo, a member of your staff with us, and a clear, fixed quote before we start.

Safeguarding and consent

We check your consent list before the first photo.

Photos of pupils are personal data, so we treat them that way. Before the shoot we ask for your consent list and agree how pupils without consent will be kept out of frame. On the day a member of your staff stays with us, and we check the final selection against the list before we deliver it.

Every one of our photographers is DBS-checked. We never photograph in changing areas or other private spaces, and we do not add pupils’ names to files or captions unless you ask us to.

Why Moments

Why schools choose us

  • Marketing photography only

We photograph your school to help families choose it. We do not take individual or class portraits for parents to buy.

  • Pictures that match your film and print

The same studio designs your prospectus and films your school, so photos, films and print look like they belong together.

  • Safeguarding comes first

DBS-checked photographers, consent lists checked before we start, and a member of your staff with us throughout.

  • A clear, fixed quote

You know the cost before the day, with full rights to use every image in print and online.

FAQs

Questions schools ask us

Can schools post pictures of students on social media?
Yes, as long as the school has the right consent. Most schools ask parents and carers for consent when a child joins, and keep a list. Before posting, check every photo against that list, avoid using pupils’ full names alongside their pictures, and follow your own safeguarding and data protection policies.
How do you plan a prospectus photography day?
Start with what you need the photos for: the pages of your prospectus, your website and your social media. We turn that into a shot list with you, then plan the day around your timetable, choosing lessons and spaces that show your school at its best. We also confirm your consent list and who from your staff will be with us.
How much does a school photographer charge?
Most searches for a school photographer are about pupil portraits, which is a different service. For marketing and prospectus photography, the cost depends on whether you need a half day or a full day and how many images you need. We give you a clear, fixed quote before we start.
What are good school marketing photo ideas?
Photos of real learning work best: hands-on lessons, pupils working together, music, sport, outdoor learning, the library, lunchtime and staff helping pupils. Mix wider shots that show your spaces with close, natural moments, and include your staff as well as pupils.
