Social media that families trust

For many parents, your school’s social media is the main window into their child’s day. Prospective families look at it too, often before they visit. Regular, honest posts showing real school life build trust. Gaps of weeks, or posts that feel like adverts, do the opposite.

Most schools know this, but finding the time to plan, photograph, film and post every week is hard. That is where we help. We plan, create and post content for schools, multi academy trusts and education providers, with safeguarding built into every step.

Monthly packages

Our monthly packages are built around a set number of content pieces each month. A content piece might be a photo post, a set of images or a short video.

  • Starter: content planning, posting, scheduling and reporting, with 8 content pieces a month.
  • Growth: everything in Starter, with 12 content pieces a month.
  • Premium: everything in Starter, with 16 content pieces a month.

At the start of each month we agree a plan with you around your school calendar: events, trips, open evenings, key dates and the things parents keep asking about. You approve it, and we take care of the rest.

One-off posts and videos

If you do not need a monthly package, we also make one-off social media posts and videos: a set of ready-to-post images and captions for an event or a busy week, or short vertical films for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Social media videos for Bournville School

We created a series of social videos for Bournville School, from a day in the life at each phase to Sports Day and the Year 11 leavers’ assembly. Each one was filmed in school, edited for phones and ready for the school to post on its own channels. You can watch them all above.

Short vertical videos like these are the posts people are most likely to stop and watch. They work with the sound off, show real pupils and staff, and give families a feel for the school in under two minutes.

Safeguarding at every step

A safeguarding-first approach is not an extra; it is how we work. Every photo and video is checked against your consent list before it is scheduled, pupils’ full names never appear with their pictures, and you approve the plan before anything is posted. We agree with you how comments and messages will be handled, and if anything ever looks wrong, we take it down first and talk to you straight away.

Social media for schools in the West Midlands and beyond

We work with schools and trusts across Birmingham, Solihull and the West Midlands, and further afield for monthly packages. Every package starts with a short conversation about your school and a clear, fixed quote before we start.

You confirm the plan and the dates, and we agree consent and safeguarding arrangements with you.

  4. Step 4: We make it

We plan, shoot, design or build it, working around your timetable, and share drafts for your comments.

  5. Step 5: Delivered

You get the finished files, ready to use, with everything you need to post, print or publish.

Safeguarding and consent

Nothing is posted until it has been checked against your consent list.

Social media is where safeguarding matters most, because posts travel quickly and are hard to take back. We work from your photo and video consent list, check every image and film against it before anything is scheduled, and never post pupils’ full names alongside their pictures.

You approve the plan before each month starts, and we agree how comments and messages will be handled. Our team are all DBS-checked, and if anything ever looks wrong, we take it down first and talk to you straight away.

FAQs

Questions schools ask us

Can schools post pictures of students on social media?
Yes, with the right consent. Most schools ask parents and carers for consent when a child joins and keep a list. Check every photo or video against it before posting, do not use pupils’ full names with their pictures, and follow your safeguarding and data protection policies. We do all of this as part of every package.
What should schools post on social media?
Real moments from school life work best: lessons, trips, sport, music, celebrations and the people who make your school what it is. Mix those with useful posts for parents, such as reminders and key dates, and short videos, which people are most likely to stop and watch.
How do you manage or run school social media?
Plan a month at a time around your school calendar, agree who approves posts, check consent for every image, and post regularly rather than in bursts. Our packages cover the planning, posting, scheduling and a monthly report, so your staff only need to approve the plan.
Why is social media good for schools?
It is where many parents already spend time, so it is one of the best ways to keep families informed and show prospective families what your school is like. Regular, honest posts build trust, and short films can bring more families to your open events.
How do you set up a school Instagram account or Facebook page?
Use an official school email address, not a personal one, and give at least two members of staff access. Write a short description with your school’s name and location, use your logo, and decide on your rules for comments and messages before you start. We can set this up with you.
